Oh boy where to begin
Heidi had his first heart attack, luckily Lurk had enough meds nad expertise to save him, and soon after he celebrated his marriage to HKH.
Ediots got their first visit from the pigskins

One group was wandering around the mechanoid cluster, so I decided to send Heidi to snipe one of the turrets and awaken the cluster.
But it was unnecessary, somehow they awoke on their own and wiped out the pigs.
That left two other groups. The first one was taken down by the Vickers, and then the machinegun was quickly relocated to meet the last remaining one.
Had to delay the firing order 'til they moved away from our hitched animals
And that was the end of their heroic charge across the no man's land
That was one crisis over, and a beginning of a new one, the Ediots now had a mech cluster on their hands, two in fact. A no go zone was established.
Day after that there was an insignificant waster raid, poorly equipped
and then a day after a defoliator ship crashed, but I decided to just let it do its thing, this map is overgrown as it is already
Smoke spewer was still making farming difficult, and also all the animals were hunted, except the ones in the no go zone. During the wild boar hunt, HKH and Sugar followed their quarry that ran off into the range of the turrets. Sugar was wounded, but crawled away, HKH was sniped and bled out before help arrived.
It was too dangerous to tetrieve her body, and a horrible blow to the colony moral to leave it out in the open. I tried to send Helios to cremate her with molotows, but he was innacurate, and when he tried to get closer, he too was perforated, and barely rescued by Lurk.
"When you're gone, no one will care and your body will be left outside at the mercy of animals and elements" is really not a good message. People started having breakdowns. Helios had one while working on the new fort, and he wandered off into the sniper's range.
Lurk to the rescue, again
A first yttakin raid entered the map next to the cluster, and ended up predictably
Mental breaks and famine continued, a lot needed doing, and little was getting done
Finally some animals that werent in the range of mechanoid weapons, but it was a small and short-lived relief.
A two scyther raid landed, and the only injured colonist was Heidi, who couldn't take cover in the barracks because he was having a breakdown over his wife's death
Defoliator reached its max area.
While busy with preparations for moving to the new barracks in the fortress, I neglected to keep an eye on the food supplies, which were now not only difficult to get, but also the people responsible were having constant meltdowns. During the meltdowns, they automatically went to look for anything to fill their bellies, and that anything was the pemmican dropped by two passerbys from another faction that got clipped by the mechanoids. Sugar Bombs and the pig kid were the first to go.
and Lurk got tagged by sniper clanker while trying to save her, entered deathrest
then the new joiner that got here just before HKH's death also broke apart and made a run for the chow
And the last victim of the cursed pemmican was Heidi, who bled out to death.
