book thread

kind of upset the hobbit called them all goblins (based) n then when re-telling the war in lotr they're suddenly orcs (woke)
no i will not accept any sweaty long-winded nerd critique on this

esp. as i had a series of elaborate aneurysms reading about mike lee's land-selling plan re: state parks n forests
but minto, think about the debts. think about all that unspoiled nature just yearning to be raped and turned to parking lots

btw i listened to the dun cow book you suggested a while back. i can't remember if i posted that or not. it was rather delightful, the sequels are not available in my particular audiobook app so that'll have to wait. have you read either of them?
sorry, tried to dig up PDFs, no luck

took a lot of willpower to not rate this post with the vomit react but i restrained myself cuz i luv u homie (i am drinking)

i have finished the lotr books, listened to an irish history book by a dude named bunbury today about forgotten irish history (that may be the title... or close to it. blanking atm) and there was a neat chapter about operation shamrock, where after ww2 the irish fostered homeless german children. 10/10 v wholesome, apparently? i should do more research but they did give the kids back, and whatever the bad sides of the program i am unsure if it's better or worse than kentler's west berlin program that fostered kids out to child rapists
