However, it depends another big if.
Luigi N. Mangione said he killed United CEO douchebag because he wanted to start a conversation about the absurd policies which HC companies are employing. That could suggest a serious break from reality, he may be acquitted by reasons of insanity. Though, that won't be a walk either. He'll probably spend 30 years in a mental hospital. It would be a tremendous longshot, since he's educated and traveled. (supposedly he was beaten a few months prior by a bunch of Thai ladybois) before embarking on his quest to blast the United CEO.

You really think that will matter in his court case?
Here are the basic facts/situations:
1. upper middle class dude wacks a CEO of a major healthcare company.
2. CEO is worth nearly 50 million dollars.
3. if mangione is acquitted on a legal technicality, it sends a message to the masses; killing an untouchable is possible.
4. The untouchables, will be in uproar and further shit on the rights of the little man as a punitive response further increasing the hatred among the classes.
5. Which means, ultimately more attacks/murders of the wealthy.

So to preserve order, they'll look at mangione's trampled rights, convict, and have him tied up for decades on appeal. So even if he is acquitted, he's "paid" for his crime. I'm guessing it will be about 20-30 years until his appeals are exhausted. Stalling works in the prosecution's favor.

If it ever makes it to the SCOTUS, then it's a flip of the coin. It depends what kind of bench it is and IF, a real big IF, if they want to actually hear the case, which in cases like this, they often don't. See, Derek Chauvin.

He may be innocent of the crime, legally due to violations of his due process, but the state will convict via slow-walking.

He's done. I doubt he sees daylight for the next 20-30 years on state charges alone. Plus, there are federal charges. So that's a separate legal battle altogether.

So even if acquitted of all state charges, due to the due process bunglers police officers on duty, andthe federal murder charge, Mangione is realistically looking at up to life for interstate travel with intent to harm/murder, traveling across state lines and causing harm/murder also carries up to life in prison, and using an unlicensed suppressor which carries a max of 30 years.

So life + life + 30.
He won't be able to beat the suppressor charge. He's being tried in a really anti-gun state, so it's very likely he'll get the max. Thirty years. Luigi N. Mangione is 27 now. So he could be pushing sixty if he's only convicted on that charge alone.

That's federal time. There is no parole for federal convictions committed on or after November 1, 1987.
What gun, what suppressor

Why are you making stuff up
"The Maryland man’s lawyers have argued that Altoona cops, excited by the high-profile bust amid a nationwide manhunt, rashly conducted warrantless searches of his belongings, and that a .9mm pistol, silencer, notebook entries allegedly laying out plans to kill the exec..."

Now one can argue whether or not this can be admissible in court. Agreed. However, the video footage clearly shows someone using a suppressor.
And due to living arrangements he did cross state lines.

"Even if the judge rules in favor of Mangione, prosecutors still have evidence of his DNA or fingerprints on several items discarded by the shooter near the crime scene, according to court documents."

Like I said, time is on the prosecution's side.

Your boy's cooked. Ball's in your court.

Neither here or there. Video proves that a suppressor was used in the commission of this rightous heinous murder
I dont know why you keep talking about a suppressor when they searched his bag on body cam and neither gun nor suppressor were in the bag

Do you know how to read
