So when I was in prison, I patented an SMG. It shoots 9mm/.380 ACP because any other round would be too small or too big to handle. It's open bolt, because closed bolt would require a bigger inventory. It's smoothbore due to a lack of better inventory, since rifling runs the risk of explosion inside the barrel if you fuck up by not even a centimeter. Too risky. It uses red phosphorous matches (not safety matches, unless you have cut it good) but only a little to serve as both primer and propellant. Some states still have commissary cigarettes.
