President Trump on Thursday suggested the federal government will soon share the information it has about extraterrestrials, UFOs, and unidentified aerial phenomena, the broader category of unexplained objects known as UAPs.

In a brief post on Truth Social, Trump said he’ll direct the Pentagon and other departments to begin the process of “identifying and releasing” government files related to these topics:

“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

Earlier Thursday, Trump refused to say whether he’s seen evidence that aliens had visited earth. The president was asked directly about “non-human visitors” while talking to reporters aboard Air Force One.
