Welcome to green hell, Ediots. As your eyes survey the endless green and your ears grow deaf with the cacophony of animal and insect noises, you feel the desire for scientific progress overtake you; you must unlock the secrets of flamethrowers, phosphorus and gasoline, enough of it to scour every poisonous plant, every fucking mosquito, every centipede that wants to crawl over you as you sleep, and make its dwelling in YOUR shoes. Enough of it to torch every nature loving faggot who celebrates the beauty of wilderness
from the comfort of an air conditioned home with plumbing and toilet paper.

A starting point has been chosen, a well preserved ruin close to an anima tree. This will make a good home for the Ediots.

Hunting here is plentifull, but not safe, the Ediots will sooner or later have to face a pair of panthers.

By the fifth day, the ruin has been rebuilt, and first production facilities constructed, a butchers table and a research bench. Research is 25% slower, better than expected. Furniture is the first thing that must be secured.

In the second week Lurk and Heidi solved the other part of the panther problem

Heidi started out with an addiction to mecha chicken eggs. Unfortunately, during the setting up of the colony, his stash of eggs was left outside and deteriorated. Now he will have to suffer a series of withdrawal mental breaks. Genie mental breaks aren't violent, but since the colony is still on the edge of poverty and anything a violent colonist could break is easily replacable, that doesn't matter much.

Complex furniture has been researched and beds were built, also a skein and blackboard for young Demonic (@lurk , you probs already know, but you can stack up to 3 blackboards to increase learning bonus up to 60%, figured that one on the previous playthrough)

Heidi had his first mental break

He also had the first case of disease in the colony during his break, and it's really a good choice that the colony doctor is the one guy that is immune to everything

Being both a doctor and a colony moral guide, he can use not only his medical skills but also faith healing

A transport pod crashed near the colony, and the survivor seems eligible for recruitment, minto hauled him off to the prison cell, where he will have to be weaned off alcohol and converted first.

Second break for Heidi, but I think he will be clean by the end of the year. The only problem is that I didn't pick a second colony chef, so when he's indisposed, everyone else has to eat raw rice.

Disease frequency means not just the cdolonists, but the animals will also get sick more often. Since there was no food, Lurk plied the sick colony cat with some quality rum

Colonists took care of one of the yitts, the other one killed one of the pets and barged in the barracks, where Lurk took him down. Both survived, and were thrown in jail to serve as bloodbags.

Ediots received and rejected a diplomatic mariage proposal

With the first troubles out of the way, the Ediots could start meditating under the anima tree, and unlocking their psychic potential

Gunpowder and smithing were researched, and this time, the diots have even more early options. A smithy was built, and soon the first guns will be created, as soon as the genie recovers from his mental break.

Four neanderthals, and not only is Heidi out of comission, but Lurk also suffered a mental break. Heidi is wandering around dazed...

This leaves minto, Baka, and Demonic vs 4 knuckledraggers, 2 of which are busy torching the Ediots fields

The Ediots manage to kill the first neanderthal, but the second one manages to take down minto and Baka, and knocks down Heidi who wandered into the combat oblivious of the world around him.

Demonic grabed the knife that minto dropped in the last ditch desperate attempt and gave his best, but while a grown hussar and a neanderthal are pretty evenly matched, a 4yo one is a snowball in hell.

Lurk is the only survivor. Others may return or may not. The colony survived nearly 2 months.
