the gradient reminds me of shark camo, where its dark when viewed from above to hide it among the deeper water, but light on the belly to hide it among the more sunlighty water... except this is a bunny n not a shark, ergo its purely aesthetic choice... ergo art

I think I got it, it's because on some level it reminds me of art deco's black with gold trim.
