AZ is a big state. And no you're not working in my town. It's bad for IT. You would have better luck in Phoenix which is 200 miles north. But, you would have even a better chance in LA. Big tech market and close to San Fran which is home to people like you. I think you would have a better time/quality of life.

Asides the gay parade, which EVERYONE makes a fucking big deal about... and there's that time during Trump the town did a virtue signaling bullshit deal, it painted a crosswalk with rainbow colors. I think you would be better in a more "metropolitan" city. Tucson is like an oversized college town without the Animal House hijinks. It's pretty boring to be frank. And it always seems to try things that are a "big hit" in other cities.

Tucson city council got butthurt over a comment at a conference, that "Tucson wasn't a real city because we didn't have a subway/rail system." Literally. So they built a trolley, which no one rides. It goes a whole 6? city blocks. It's fucking joke. And a really expensive one. Then there was the rent a bike thing, and the e-scooter thing. To use a meme as an example, Virgin Tucson trying to keep up with Chad NYC/Chicago/LA/ etc.

Open carry will get you killed outright IMO. Get a CWP and you'll be fine. I really don't know how that will affect you however, since you dont' really go anywhere. Then perhaps you want to think about Virginia. Good tech environment in and around DC. Virginia is an open carry state, or at least it was 10 years ago don't know about now. And they just legalized weed for recreational use.
VA beach is dirty and really racist and violent, but if you stay out of the strip clubs and most of the regular clubs which attract wanna-be rapper-ganstas, you'll be fine. Food's somewhat decent, better in DC metro area. Richmond avoid at all costs. In the panhandle of VA it's pretty much country so pot is pretty lax as well as gun laws/enforcement. But, don't push it, VA loves to take shit away. VA is totally pro gay so you'll feel at home, they have a state senator that's an open trannie. He is an idiot. So there's that. Woodbridge has got some money and is the "river life." Lots of boats etc.

I don't think you would do well in AZ bro. I think you'd be really fucking lonely when you sober up. AZ is no joke. If you stayed closer east, then mom and pop would be a day's drive away. AZ would be a serious trek. It's 108 on the regular and will get up to 115 in late July and August. It gets hotter in Phoenix. Your electricity bill easily doubles and for many quadruples during the summer. It's hot like that 6 months out of the year. Maybe NM, talk to @rodion about it. Hotels are pretty cheap you can find a pretty decent one for about 50 bucks a night. Plus, it will allow you to move about the city without any real cost. You see what it is like on the east side, south side, west side etc.,

for VA, every county but the obvious one voted for 2A sanctuary. their LEO and political systems are as corrupt as DC, supposedly being a commonwealth is connected in that somehow. just try not to get on the bad side of any cop or lawyer, i've heard of at least one person who was black-balled and even public defenders refused to take his case. the cities are very... city-like and the country is very redneck from what i hear. lots of niggers, lots of muslims, and considering the region, probably lots of jews too.

never been there, but ive got a good friend that grew up in VA. although he left and never looked back, it's not all that bad. lots of good paying jobs, strong industries, etc.

I lived there for about 25 years. It really changed. And all for the worse. Fairfax has become the San Francisco of the mid-Atlantic. Blacks are insanely stupid and entitled. Everyone trips over themselves to make sure the black kids don't get angry. Muslims have overrun Vienna and other suburbs around DC. DC is the capitol and how else are you going to demand policy changes. Lots of radical muslims too. Fucking garbage people. Two of the most radical mosques in Merica are located in NoVA.

Don't know about the lawyers and cops, but what ever you've done wrong is in the system forever. There is no expungement and it's pretty obvious that the "sealed records of juvenile system" are exactly not that.
