First. These boots are tough as fuck all. Soles are slick so not really great in bad weather but you can get different soles put on. Polish them and they'll look good.

Second. The basic combat boot. Uncomfortable, tough, and fugly as fuck. But good wear, traction and like the jump boot the toe to the teeth does a remarkable amount of damage. Good insoles are a must in this boot. Ran for 9 months in Airborne School and Ranger Selection in these. If you are hiking in muddy terrain, the lugs on the soles somehow increase suction and it's very difficult to move.

Viet Nam jungle boot/desert boot
Soles wear pretty quickly, but good traction. Breathe well. The desert version I wore is similar, but summertime use really breaks down the sole it just cannot stand up to the heat.

About $140. And boy howdy comfortable as fuck all. Super light. Feel like track shoes. I got the ultra high speed pair which are about 150 USD and are even lighter Both have great heel support which means your heel doesn't move in the boot at all. I wear steel toes all day and walk three miles in them every shift so when I go to the range and wear these, I don't feel the weight at all. Cant tell you about the durability of the soles Oakley caters to the SF side of the military so they have the money to burn.
