The only reason Satlin did an Alliance with hitler was because he wanted to use hitler as an icebreaker to weaken the nazis and the capitalist west before the soviet union stabbed germany in the back and invaded at the best time to spread world revolution. Hitler turned the tables and made the soviets fight the war at first on their own soil before it all collapsed on germany due to the western allies helping the wrong side.
