mix ammonium nitrate fertilizer with motor oil, both common and easily obtainable ingredients. Add wood grains or aluminum powder for improved combustion. It still won't explode on its own and requires an explosive charge to set it off. Dynomite would be optimal but would be really hard to obtain. Tannerite would work too and can be purchased legally at most gun stores, however this has its own draw backs as it only goes off when stuck with high velocity force and wouldn't be ideal unless you became an elite sniper. Maybe just get creative and design your own explosive charge contraption.
