They did not commit war crimes. They simply beat the terrorists at their own game. The question isnt why are they comitting war crimes, its why are they even on Afghanistan in 2020
Unfortunately, killing is one those things that get's easier the more you do it. In a war, all of mankind's worst emotions, worse traits come out. It's easy to forget what a sin is in the middle of the battlefield. If you put trained killers into the field where the enemy is indistinguishable from the non-combatants, people will die. Everyone knows that
how many times have you killed famUnfortunately, killing is one those things that get's easier the more you do it. In a war, all of mankind's worst emotions, worse traits come out. It's easy to forget what a sin is in the middle of the battlefield.
They trained these guys to kill, put them in a very dangerous environment where a significant portion of the civilian population supports the enemy (taliban) , told them if they asked for any mental health supports theyd be drummed out of the military and then claim they are suprised when 39 afghans get killed. This is the kind of stuff that happens in any war, and any military that has been deployed around the world has incidents like this.Makes the military lose trust, seeing how these people who are supposed to have your back, make you the villain as soon as theres any criticism at home
Any conflict with china will not just involve war crimes, it will require it. So they better start getting used to it
