Ovechkin is the best player in history to score empty net goals and not try on defense.

I would argue that Mr. Ovechkin is the greatest 5-tool player in the history of the NHL. He’s superior at:
- shooting
- scoring
- skating
- puck handling
- forechecking
My favorite Ovechkin goal is the one he did on the powerplay where he just stood there and nobody else seemed to be able to see that the puck was going to be passed to him.
He has a wicked slapshot.
