Japanese food is overrated

No beef with japanese/chinese mayo.

Sushi however is gross. I don't get the obsession with it. Whenever people order Sushi though I always make sure they bring Edamame soy beans, those are tasty as fuck.

>japanese cuisine
raw fish and cooked rice
>chinese cuisine
deep fried or boiled anything with soy sauce
>indian cuisine
random meats and vegetables boiled in green or "red" shit
>thai cuisine
grilled fish and meats with lots of pepper and lemongrass
... seriously... lots of lemongrass. they put that shit in everything.

Tbh you haven't lived until you've done a real original chinese hot pot dinner. That shit is amazing.

thats the one thing i missed out on my trip to shanghai.

No way! There's plenty of places to hot pot though, likely won't be as good as if you were in China but I've heard of plenty of restaurants that offer hot pots. Really worth the try. Hot pot boiled sliced pork and enoki mushrooms together are in-cre-di-ble.

I was thinking about ordering some more today but I think I'm gonna have spaghetti instead. I think I'll do more katsudon tomorrow though. I get them with gyoza too.
Yeah Spaghetti is yummy.

I literally don’t know what jap food tastes like

Japanese food loves more raw foods as opposed to Chinese food.
Japanese food loves fish, chicken and beef more than pork meat unlike the Chinese who prefer eating beef and pork.
Japanese food includes deeper frying whereas Chinese food includes more pan frying.
