Heres the thing

Just looking at console sales : PS 120M vs 45M

PlayStation is the clea winner if you solely look at those numbers

But. The consoles are sold at a loss to begin with

While they were both sold at a loss, the Xbox uses cheaper part but was sold at the same or even higher price

The money is made in games

Average xbox user buys almost twice as many games

Paid subscriptions? Obvious

Peripherals. Lol does PS even have a peripheral market?

I'll be surprised if sony even bothers turning up for the next generation

yeah but what exclusives does the xbox one have

PS5 > Series X

The specs are out for both. And while it is close, Series X is the clear winner.

Now PSV has more exclusives. But having a PC I like the idea of XBox games on the PC (via Game Pass).

Obviously the Switch has no competition for portable. If Nintendo were smart they would stick to that since they cannot compete directly with XBox/PSV for home counsel.

I dont know of any other than Halo 5

Exclusives are actually bad for business, stop living in 2005

Yes they are, but unfortunately they are a reality and as such must be considered when picking a counsel.

It cant return when none of these companies are american to begin with
Wrong. Plenty of the companies are American, but they simply decided to offshore their manufacturing to low cost labour countries.

The owners/CEOs/management of these companies want all the benefits of selling into the American market (by far the must lucrative in the world) without contributing much to the country. Oh, and these a-holes also aren’t moving themselves or their families to the third world sh*t holes and they’re not renouncing their US citizenship.
