some backstory:
-rolling stone top 100 guitarist list did not include prince, and rolling stone editors were in the front row of this performance.
-this was a posthumous induction for george harrison and they had a bunch of older, safe guitarists on stage. one of whom memorized all of eric clapton's guitar solo. herd shit
-someone behind the event fought to get prince on stage for the event and given the other half of the guitar solo. when they all got together to rehearse this, prince did not do this. he did not rehearse with them.
-his guitar is half the price of the other guitars on that stage, by choice (he liked the leopard print)
-he's clearly enjoying the hell out of himself
how is this ubermensch behavior?
