not really, because bacteriologists n other scientists already knew vibrio vulnificus thrives in coastal brackish waters between 20-35c and the water surface temps along the gulf n atlantic coast are running higher this year
so cutting the jobs of the people monitoring it n not letting them pre-warn the communities that live in these areas is just asking for higher infection rates

same as we already had working plans for fighting screwworm n then cut that funding n now that we've got infected cattle we're abt to spend 5 times more cleaning up elon's mess
