Frank Miller isn't a great artist, but I love how deranged his style is, it makes Dark Knight Returns one of my favourite comics.

he was a writer, not a comic book artist.....well he did some work as a cartoonist, but he was a much better writer.

Miller rarely uses shading pushing his art to something really flat. it's almost as if he wants you to not forget that this is a fictional story.

I was pretty impressed with Pope, the Terrible by Theo Canechi(AND WRITEN BY ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY). Lots and lots of gay imagery, but that sorta comes with the themes. Also the fucking details..
