If you are ordering people against their will to not freely live their lives which is not in a manner that is illegal or improper, then yeah it is tyranny.
The US is in many ways near to the same level as Canada. We only got a slight reprieve when Trump was elected, but he's turned out to over extend Fed Government authority in other situations. Not even going to touch what some governors are doing which in many cases are direct violations of the 1st, 2nd, 4th (illegal search) , 5th (self incrimination) 14th (right to a jury trial - arbitration courts)
