If you are ordering people against their will to not freely live their lives which is not in a manner that is illegal or improper, then yeah it is tyranny.
The US is in many ways near to the same level as Canada. We only got a slight reprieve when Trump was elected, but he's turned out to over extend Fed Government authority in other situations.
