Oh sweet summer child. There is so much you need to learn about firearms.

One converting a 50 Beowulf to 458 SOCOM is more expensive than just getting a 458 upper. Believe it or not. It's not just a case of changing out the barrel. Which the barrel can cost you anywhere from 250-700 dollars. And then there is the BCG which you can tack on another 250-400 dollars. The 458 has better flight characteristics and the bullet flies good deal faster so in retrospect, I would get the 458. The ammo weight is the same and you get the same round count as the Beowulf, so you can't carry more ammo in one mag.

This is my 50 Beowulf.
In my opinion this is a 200 yard gun. The 1x4 Steiner lets me reach accurately out to 300 yards however. But it's no sub MOA rifle. (I get sub 4 inch groups at 150 yards. I'm good with that.) With a sixteen inch barrel, at 300 yards, you've lost a lot of velocity. I'm pushing a 300 FTX hollowpoint soft tip. Currently it makes about 1400+ ft/lbs at the barrel, about the same as a 62 gr 5.56. Reason why is the bullet is flying slow. Depending on the bullet weight it's anywhere from about 1600-1900 ft/sec about 2/3rds the speed.

This gun is not for the unfit. it is heavy. 9 lbs 6 oz unloaded. Full ten round mag makes it tip the scale around 11 lbs. Though it kicks, the heavy padded buttstock is more for recoil management, it makes it softer to shoot and lets you crack off follow up shots faster. This rig is slightly less than 2700 USD back in 2017 when I built it.

There are reliability issues with higher capacity mags. having more ammo but having a less reliable feed is not optimal.

I have to admit it is a bit of a safe queen, but I got it when I wasn't sure I wouldn't be moving to bear country and I wanted a round that could kick a grizzly's ass. So until then, it pretty much stays in the safe.

You can't be that weak.

So no.

My 338 will make you regret shooting it. It's felt recoil is about 50 pounds. It now has a super thick buttstock pad. Doesn't feel like the rifle butt is going to go through my clavicle. My Benelli M4 kicks harder than the Beowulf. The Beowulf is similar to my 308. The recoil is stout, but manageable.

I don’t believe it. You are not a sharpshooter.

Timmy, you are very small. Does the gun come with training wheels so that you’re able to move it?

@ZZZandeRRR I want you to limit your time here and build mass. I want you to feel good about improving yourself. Yes it's nice to talk to people here but this is not real conversation. K. Can't speak on your past. That is done. All I can do is help you plan for the future bro. K.

I'm tired of people getting fucked over and then "opt out." Fight you lazy nigga.

Bullshit, my best friend's only 4 months older than me and he's trying to join the army. He could physically do it (source: dozens of unsolicited "check out my gains" texts) but my main concern is if he can handle it mentally.
I should elaborate: meeting him was the first time I'd ever been a voice of reason for someone else, instead of the other way around.

ME. Being the reasonable one.

That's how batshit he can get.

I tried (and failed) to stop him from buying a hooker ten years his senior. She took the money and ran, claiming her car broke down, and he had a small scale meltdown. He met her on WhatsApp and was paying for nudes.

The last time I talked to him was Turkey Day (day or two after) and he told me his grandma kicked him out and he was staying at a friend's house.

(Note: He looks like Neil Perry from Dead Poets Society, the only difference being Neil went through with it instead of texting "I'm finna kms" everytime he stubbed his toe.)
