Reading a book is consuming information from typically a single author. Or I can listen to YouTubes from many sources. Tribalism to me is a big no-no. And I try not to find myself in echo chambers, with limited success.

If you want to talk about critical thinking go ahead. But the US is run by people with degrees, people with really good "critical thinking" skills. And the US, regardless of what party is in control, is quickly becoming a shithole.

With college educated people, I have observed they are very book smart, but often are unable to think outside of textbooks. These often very often lack wisdom.
