wanted to branch out on robert chambers so i listened to the harbor master today. there was a charming old man character in it with rare birds who lived off-grid near the ocean shore and was as salty as the sea. at the end of the tale he wanted to leave his cabin n go with the main character so he could have someone to argue with the rest of his days. i wish to be exactly like this if i'm still around in another 40+ yrs. lovely story.

after hanging out with a horse on thanksgiving n feeling like a disney princess because it walked over n let me pet after i merely said "hi beautiful" from the fenceline i wanted to branch out on animal fiction n get a horse fiction book... so i also listened to kholstomer from tolstoy... it was depressing, which was expected. i've had cheerier trips to the dentist

Now that I know that there is a limit to attachments, I'll just have to add the rest of the F's to the next batch.

listening to more robert chambers, today is the mystery of choice
"Of all the seconds that tick the whole year through, of all the seconds that have slipped onward marking the beat of time since time was loosed, there is one, one brief moment, steeped in magic and heavy with oblivion, that sometimes lingers in the soul of man, annihilating space and time."

currently reading Dandelion Dynasty fantasy series, I'm on the first book and it's an absolute blast.
Romance of Three Kingdoms set in a fantasy backdrop, absolutely incredible. also has air ships. top tier.
Grace of Kings is a legitimate powerhouse in fantasy, I get the hype now.

this book is beautiful. think after the holidays are over i might just mainline the rest of chambers' work. i love his prose n his character interactions aren't awkward. helps that stefan rudnicki has a great narration voice

since it's festive season tho i have started brom's krampus n downloaded poirot's christmas
