I used up an ideoligion point and changed the colonist reaction to dead bodies from distressing to don't care. The raids are getting bigger and piles of corpses are getting stacked to the rooftops, it makes no sense to clutch pearles at the sight of the dead raider #8943. Cleaning up after the raids has also become a time consuming issue, so minty made a flamethrower

and while the Ediots didn't find the resurrector serum in the crypt, it does contain a great reward, the cryptosleep caskets

now is the time for the chicken contingency plan to take effect: Nisse and Dua Cheepa have produced their first offsprings, and have been anaesthetized

and placed in the caskets where they will slumber like the chicken Pharaos of old, ready to emerge and repopulate the world again if there is ever a need

also, not only the raids are growing in size, the psychic drones are growing in intensity, and unused caskets can be used to safely stash the colonists that are affected the worst.

A toxic fallout started, and a big impid raid arrived

The Ediots tried to provoke the mechanoids guarding the defoliator ship to attack so they would run into the impids, but they didn't take the bait. Should have mortared their ship, but oh well. Both parties had to be handled the usual way and that was the last humanoid raid the Ediots will see for the next three months, which were just mechanoids.

And now a short detour into the world of genetics. Here are waster genes, some are great, some are shit. The great ones increase metabolic rate, meaning a greater need for food. The shit ones decrease it. In your average waster they are balanced, with the efficiency of zero.

and here are the genes of Heidi's half waster daughter, little Stormtrooper, the one I said was a genetic mess. You will notice a lot of shit genes are missing, and her hunger rate is 200% (needs 6 meals a day).

So a new combo of genes was created to negate this. The blue ones with a minus are ordinary positive, the ones with a plus and a red downward arrow are the negative offsets, and the yellow ones are from vampires.

Year 12 was a pretty slow year.
The crypt had another even bigger infestation, and by now it's obvious that it is the bug's favorite nesting place. An incendiery IED has been placed there, and will fry the bugs next time they show up. The only worry is that the caskets are flammable, but hopefuly the smoke suffocates the fuckers before they spread the flames around.

after the footsoldiers and tanks were dealt with, the cluster was wrapped up with the usual "smoke'n'smash". Since dealing with most of the raids now just follows established procedures, I won't bother you with details in the future unless something extraordinary happens or is used by either Ediots or their enemies

A psychic ship landed and it was supposed to be an easy win, but I forgot to pull Lurk inside the fort once the mortars fired, and awoken footies surrounded him and he was killed for... the 3rd time. Brought back again.

I regretted giving Demonic the kill thirst gene. After a dry period (bugs and mechanoids can't sate it, only human suffering) he snapped and demolished almost the entire barracks furniture and valuable facilities, the list is too long. And with all the armor, genes and implants he is rocking right now, he is unfazed by the beanbags now.

Everyone except the kids just got power armor helmets (not the armors yet, because headshots were a bigger concern). And almost everyone has the two big implants now, hibernation and muffalo muscles. When all the urgent implants are produced, you'll get your extra tits

Oh yeah, and one more thing to report - plan B. If something that looks like it will really be the end of the colony shows up, here are 17 transport pods. The Ediots will board 14, and the three remaining are the bug out bags, they will be stuffed with food, meds, sleeping bags and other necessities required to kickstart a new colony. Nobody Cares has played its role as the cradle of the young Ediot nation, but if the shit hits the fan, it will not play the role of its grave.

oh and an equipment update, 1/3 of the colonists are now wearing full sets of power armor, and can probably shrug off a shot from a rocket launcher, not that I'm willing to test it

but I wanted a samurai aesthetic, so I used a reformation point to change ideology structure from authoritarian to shinto/tao. Also minty wanted catboys, so you can see that some colonists have been genetically altered to have cat ears

i hope so... they're basically radar dishes n they can hear up to 2 miles away in wider decibal range than ppls
