Year 13 ended with no important events except a high psychic drone that especially affected the vamps, the psychicly most sensitive colonists. Heidi snapped and took it out on the prisoners, beating them savagely
At the end of the year 14. a new mechanoid showed up in a raid
at this exact time another deep drill infestation happened
Lurk was sent with an insanity lance to inflict berserk on the centipedes, and make them fight each other
while Demonic dealt with the bugs
After killing 3 of their own, th machanoids went after the Ediots, and Heidi and Lurk were incapacitated during the defense of the gates. Lurk's monosword was lost in the flames.
Assault rifles with HE ammo can easily dispatch the footsoldiers, but the Ediots were struggling to make a dent in the centipedes. Another solution was tried
and turned out to be more effective
Year 15 started
Demonic had a baby
After that the Ediots accepted several quests from the empire, such as animal control in exchange for some plasteel
and a big construction vanity project
which was temporarily put on hold when a centipede raid appeared
Despite armor and implants giving immunity to beanbags, there are still ways to deal with their outbursts. FBIAgent was placed under arest after going on a rampage and trying to smash the new artillery piece. After it happened again, his hyperaggressive hussar genes were replaced with new ones.

A cluster landed, with a fog generator. Since it does nothing (a fog generator has been active for years now), it was designated as a no go zone and left alone until a more convenient time.

This was done in a preparation for a raid, which was postponed because Demonic had a nervous breakdown and wandered sadly around the colony. The reason? He hasn't been on a raid in a long time. While this was going on, two things happened simultaneously: an 86 strong impid raid arrived, and a pigskin merchant caravan that the Ediots invited a few days earlier also arrived
The Ediots, as usual, took ap the positions at the fortified main entrance. This was supposed to be a routine imp-moping. The impids however, took the opportunity and rushed through the side entrance door left open by the pigskin caravan.
There were stationary guns covering it, but the Impids set them on fire before they could be used.

and in the ensuing chaos, some of the bullets meant for the impids found the pigs instead
and Demonic was still wandering around in depression, but it didn't matter, one half the impid force suffered enough losses at the hands of the Ediots, and started running...
... straight into mechanoid cluster's proximity activators
halfway through the walls, the other half of the impids noticed and went back outside to attack the cluster...
... with little success
The mechanoids now went for the side entrance to attack the Ediots. Having lost his monosword earlier, Lurk received a warhammer that could inflict EMP, and was placed next to the entrance. ready to strike whatever comes through. And that was the perfect moment when his pyrophobia kicked in, and he broke mentally and wandered off, leaving the Ediots with ranged weapons to struggle with enemy shock troops. This was the moment I started wondering if it's a good time to send at least someone to the escape pods.

minty used her flamethrower to a great effect, and enemy scorchers tried the same on her, but the new armor was perfectly insulated. But she was still threatened by the centipedes heavy armament, so an insanity lance was used

By this time, all her flamethrower jellied prometheum was spent, and minty went to snatch the one dropped by the scorchers that Heidi took out. While she was away, Demonic and Tim's second kid defended the side entrance until she came back
minto took out the last of the centipedes, and now only turrets outside were left
Comrade Karl Bawks (yeah I know, should be Bawx) bravely laid down his life drawing the turret fire, but the revolution lives on, now carried by comrade Friedrich Hengels
there were however 3 mech assemblers left, and in time they could produce new footies to feed the turrets ammo and attack the colony. Lurk was sent to take them out, and he did, but one of the remaining turrets killed him (but not permakiled, this time he just ended in a vampiric deathrest coma)
Since Lumi has the tallent to make the animals go berserk, he was sent to use it on a passing thrumbo
The thrumbo strategy didn't work, so the turrets were taken with snipers, and Demonic destroyed the weather controller
Year 15 ended with a yttakin raid not really worth mentioning
And year 16 started with mortar hammering a 91 strong imp raid to fucking bits
and also with a failure of 3 quests, first the huge vanity project, which was started too late, and didn't meet the deadlines
and then by a loss of pet wargs entrusted by the empire to the Ediots. The aforementioned impid raid killed one, which caused the quest to fail, then the others started leaving the map, which placed them between the impids and Ediots, in the line of fire. Their death caused the Empire to go hostile, but the Ediots sent prisoners and other forms of bribe to smooth things out

and the barracks inventory gained an addition in the form of a harpsicord made by minty
on the same day, a crypt infestation happened
and triggered an incendiary IED palced there, setting the bugs on fire. But they already colapsed a part of the wall before the smoke could suffocate them and poured out
where Lurk and Demonic and the Tim clan took care of them
a week later a sky lantern festival was held, raising the spirits of the colonists
An irrelewant cluster, solved with mortars
By doing favors for the Empire, Ediots have gained enough honor to have an imperial rank bestowed upon one of their own, and that was the FBIAgent. The bestower arrived, accompanied by a personal guard
Since a ceremony of bestowing such a high rank (praetor) can't be held just anywhere, a luxurious throne room was built
And at last an Ediot became an imperial sanctioned psycaster
At the end of the year 16, about 160+ shotgunners appeared,
and were treated to a first taste of Ediots new heavy armament: 105mm howitzer
about 144 made it to the gates, where they were treated to bullets and flames
still, so many of them, it took until evening hours to get rid of them all
