Anna Paulina Luna has been involved in multiple controversies, primarily centered on her public accusations against fellow lawmakers and claims about high-profile cases. In April 2026, she alleged that Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego faced “very disturbing” accusations of a sexual nature and campaign finance violations, which he dismissed as “conspiracy theories.” She claimed the matter was under investigation by Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s office. Around the same time, Luna repeatedly claimed that Democratic Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick would be expelled for corruption, tweeting “Enjoy your last day in Congress Sheila!”—though no expulsion occurred.

Luna has also drawn criticism for spreading unverified claims. In June 2025, CODEPINK filed an ethics complaint against her for falsely accusing the group of being “foreign-funded” and tied to China, claims she made without evidence. Additionally, she has promoted misinformation about the Tory Lanez case, asserting he is innocent based on disputed DNA evidence and Ring camera footage, despite his conviction in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Critics have also scrutinized her claims about the JFK assassination, including her assertion that the Russian government provided findings on the killer—statements mocked by some as outlandish.
