I can see your point and the current trend does lend support to that view point.
However, I disagree. PMCs are all former Tier Alpha/One/Two operators. The only branch that's letting DEI take any sort of foothold is the Army. "Female Ranger Tabs." That doesn't happen, not without serious help. And it's been exposed that female candidates have a different far more relaxed standard.
You certainly don't see it in the Rangers, Spec Ops, 160th SOAR, etc., and you don't see it in MARSOC, or even Marine Infantry, AF PJ's, Combat Controllers, or Navy Divers, SEaLs, EOD etc. I'm pretty sure they're not going to compromise effectiveness for some PR stunt. A PMC's success is based on their reputation. You start sending in some 35-40 year old karens (B4 "40 year old men have physical performance issues as well, at 45 I could run near six minute miles for nearly 20 miles. Fitness in those groups is that next level.) and they get lit up and the "package" gets terminated, you're not getting any more contracts. Plus PMC contracts are so lucrative, they can exist outside the influence of Black Rock, Vanguard, etc., and their DEI bullshit.
