I just really like pizza, what can I say. The crispy umami flavor from the pepperoni and crust, the gooey creamy cheese, the soft bread. It's a simple yet texturally complex dish.

Very controversial right there. I'd say you are a minority.
I admit that I do NOT like pizza. To me, it usually tastes like a combination of cheap carbs, grease, and salt. Blech! As a former model, I learned to appreciate quality food and to stay away from fatty foods that could ruin my marvelous figure.

It's possible you just don't like it, but I wonder if you've only had pizza from fast food places like Papa John's or whatever. Those aren't real pizzas those are just slop on bread, that's like eating McDonald's and saying beef tastes awful. You gotta have a real pizza from either a family shop that uses whole ingredients or home made.
I’ve had pizza from a well regarded and family owned Italian restaurant. Their pizza is rated quite highly. I didn’t like it, but some of their other menu items were decent.
