Gamergate initially brought up some good points about the conflicts of interests amongst large swathes of the gaming press and developers, but about two weeks in it turned into one of the incessant culture wars - now featuring grifting "feminists" and their simps, an inordinate number of faggots, current and future incels.

In conclusion the gaming press decided that games should be judged on who made them, the incel gamer crowd decided that any strong female or tertially minority representative protag or supporting character meant that a game was unplayable and SJW.

And people who play games for fun ignores both groups and play games that are enjoyable (also Barotrauma, fuck that game! It's like working overtime without the pay)
