I'm in the opposite camp. Hands with arms feels unimmersive because they don't track your real arm movements and make you look like a t-rex. Also in Boneworks, they count as physics objects, so you can clothesline yourself when trying to enter a door.The fact that you have hands but no arms. I find that very off putting.

So you're not gonna be our black power girl. What did you change your major to?
Officially, nothing so far. I've just been doing general electives over the summer. Said courses have been on 20th century history, and racism in Canada.
Still, I'm enjoying it far more than rigorous study of electronics backed by negligent foreign profs. So who knows, I might get involved in humanitarianism, sounds pathetic I know, but considering I'm not part of the whole crowd, I think I can help stop the chimpouts rather than condone them.

I'm not going to celebrate you switching your major to something that is utterly meaningless. To be honest, it would be better if you quit school altogether and started working at Starbucks, because it's where you most likely end up, and most importantly it will save time and money.
Did you talk with your parents about this before you switched?
They, and my astrophysicist brother both agreed that they think this is the best choice. They were telling me this a year before I gave up on my pursuit of being a technician.
This wasn't my first choice either for the exact reasons you're talking about. It took a lot of insight to decide on this. But my idea going forward is in order to break the convention, I need to first learn it. Besides, jobs like HR are always going to be in demand.

Just so you know, there's very little turn over in HR jobs. And the HR specialists, the ones higher than basic phone operators, and email responders either all have masters or working on their masters. My last HR Director and her assistant had PhD's. They were only clearing 80K. My current HR Director is making bank but again she too has an abundance of PHds, as well as her Asst Director and staff.
