I support a single payer system too. However, unlike Canada’s provincial system and Britain’s NHS, I would want the American system to be overseen by competent people.
But the biggest issue facing an American single-payer system is the enormous numbers of non-whites currently squatting in the country. I will not support a system that allow 10s of millions of third world garbage to access it because to do otherwise would clearly be self-defeating.
