Sadly true. In Canada you have a chance to minimize or clarify your statement, then are found guilty in a court of law, giving the appearance of due process. However, in Merica, you're immediately fired and socially destroyed. You're not executed per say, but what would you call it if you were suddenly without a job, unable to get a job, and forced out onto the street? Your life is destroyed. I doubt many people could handle that and off themselves or say fuck it and turn to drugs because why not?
