Bottle collecting thread

Turns out that rednecks like to dump their alcoholic grandfather's trash randomly throughout the woods/fields. I recently found a new bottle dump, so I'm updating my collection. Not a ton of super notable stuff, but so far, I've dug up a few Busch/Budweiser bottles from the late 1970s, some unmarked beer bottle (there was about 50 of these in a massive pile), and a very pretty green bottle with markings that I have been able to identify thus far.

In my collection, I already had a few Pepsi bottles, one from the 1950s and one from the 1960s or 1970s, a milk bottle labelled "Sanitary Dairy" (this one is my favorite, cos who the fuck names their brand this), and some stubby Stroh's bottles.

I'm not super well-versed on bottle dating, as I'm just picking up shiny trash essentially, so if any of you people happen to be smart or have any cool glass of your own, I'd love to have some of your knowledge.

I'll attach some pictures tomorrow or some other day.

Working 9 to 5 the hard way, lol. Let's go. I like this idea @Stony

We are going live from Mike's house with a long post to kick this thread off right. I've got my brainelyzer on. It's set to 42 Hertz, of course. And we are going to show you some things tonight.

I used to have a bottle cap collection when I was a kid. In my subdivision, there is a pavilion. It's like a house without any walls with rafters to play in. People used to drink beers there. I would collect the caps if they were different.

Here we have my first legal beer, my first good beer, and my first really good beer.

Here we have the "not yet drunk" beers that are aged perfectly and need to be drank sometime beers that I have been saving.

The good, the bad, the ugly.png

Here we have taken over the cats' eating area. We are calling this: the good (Lemon water), the bad (White Claw Lemon), and the ugly (Don Julio Anejo).
I know the wall is a mess, it will be cleaned soon. This is the cat station after all.

But wait! We aren't finished! We have 11:11PM outside low visibility to show you for this special Sunday/Monday!

What I'm not going to show you is the white granite or marble block setup to my left that is the ketamine station. Complete with gift cards, donor cards, computer static proof film and lighters so you can grindstone it up correctly.

Here are some of my bottles:

This one is new, but I like the writing on the front

Unfortunately, I don't have any extras of the Pepsi ones, and I'm not willing to part with the ones I do have. If I somehow stumble upon an identical one, I'll let you know.

Currently too lazy to get pictures, but my siblings dragged a couple of new bottles out of the woods for me; they found a Faygo bottle and a big 7UP bottle.

I'm a little sad that there's no embossing, but these are the first ones that I've found with the caps still intact, so I'm glad to have them nonetheless.

I'm tentatively dating them as being from 1976.

I just checked Ebay, and you should be able to get some pretty nice ones (better condition than the ones I scrounged from the outdoors at least) for relatively cheap if you're still interested in getting some.

So, lol, yeah, I have something to contribute to this thread very soon. Not yet, but very soon.

I have acquired a complete 1960's through 1990's beer can collection that was just going to be thrown out from my neighbor's house that is being sold. How dare you try to recycle this kind of nostalgia? Mine. Gimme. I have the perfect place for these in mind. I know I didn't drink them, but whatever. Sue me.

I will post more of this, but I'm about to take a picture and post it below for the starter of this.

Hey, what's up Bonnie?

Now, that is just the start. That was one box that I pulled. I also pulled two entire 30g trash bags full of unique cans.

I pulled a couple of bottles, but the bottles weren't anything special and I was running out of space (also glass breaks, don't know if you knew that), so I let them go be recycled. Farewell my sweet prince of a not as impressive bottle collection.

They were also throwing away some cool glassware and other 1960's and 1970's stuff that I reclaimed. Why? Because I have a place in mind for these things. These are not garbage. Do not throw away. I have lots of stuff to throw away. This isn't it.
