For you motorheads here, I have a problem.2012 Kia soul, base model, (new engine and catalytic converter from recall (2022-23), new alternator, battery, and starter; (2025). So far, I've replaced all 4 coil packs and spark plugs. Lights go bright, including interior, when I rev it up, then dim on idle. The fuck is the problem?
Check engine light is still on (no limp mode now) after changing said coil packs and spark plugs.

have you charged the battery? even some new batteries might need a charging before you turn it on.
also, you sure it's not an engine problem?

is the alternator NEW or REBUILT?
Is it internally or externally regulated?
is the voltage regulation separate from or within the engine CPU?
is the car K.I.A. (killed in action) or just KIA bird?
do you know how to rebuild electric motors and alternators?
is there any smearing of copper or carbon buildup between commutator poles in the "new" alternator?

lead car batteries have declined in general quality for years, i only get 2-5 years out of "new" ones. Used to be 5-10 yrs.

disconnect and reconnect battery to reboot engine CPU and maybe turn off check engine light...
