So that ammo really is made for military-grade weapons. Although, civilian AR-15s aren't supposed to be military rifles.
You can even bundle 25 rounds together with a special military part, that's easy to make. To make a civilian version, you literally need a 21/2 in leather belt at least 32 inches long, and a tin can lid to synchronize the primers. It's called the Red/leather Band which is known in very special circles and use the same ammo out of a M109 howitzer. All bullets become mini arty shells it's pretty devastating.
