if you get the voltage and current draw
you can just use a better motor and fan

you don't have to replace oem with oem
and ditch that smart motor crap too, the speed controllers usually shit the bed
Yeah I thought about that. But I didn't want to dick around with it. The electrical requirements are on the fan itself. Took me two hours to find the right part and missed the next day shipping window. Now I'm out of a fridge until monday. Yey

VFD's are pretty reliable. They modulate the speed via changing the frequency. So instead of 60 Hz it runs at say 40 Hz to get about 3/4 speed.

Not it doesn't scale directly. electric motors are very efficient until they reach the 90-95% range then the amount of increase is negligible. So at work I never run them flat out, it just wears out the motor faster.

Was going to order off of Amazon. Part was 85 dollars but it would take four days to get here. I've already been without a fridge for nearly a week.
Parts Dr was a few buck cheaper but had an option of overnight for 35 sheckels. So here we go again.
(this time the site had pics and they matched with my original part. I should probably test the leads to make sure I have power to the fan. eh. I'll bitch and moan if I get to that bridge.
