Jesus would defend every single one of you to the death.
Jesus would fight for your autonomy to the death.
Jesus would sacrifice himself for you to prove a point.
Jesus would let you know that his message isn't that you are "automatically saved" because he died for your sins.

But, alas, I am not Jesus, and I do have very big faults and failures.

But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try to emulate him.

And it's not just Jesus, either.

It is Gandhi, it is MLK, it is all of these other figures throughout history who have done the same exact thing.

Die for what they believe in to change the world.

No matter how small the effort. Whether you stay mute or talk forever to prove a point.

That is the future that I believe in.

The fact that I can change who I am. What I believed 15 minutes ago is not who I am now. That this is not on your permanent record.
