Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - Wikipedia
Not trying to pull a greenflash here but I needed to get this off my chest. This shit completely ruined what little chance I had left at an actual social circle. (I love you guys, but you don't count.) As some of you may know, I spent eight months in a mental health facility two hours north of my hometown. While there, I made a good amount of friends. (Note: We weren't allowed to call them friends for some stupid reason, just peers.) Once a person discharges from the facility there's no chance in hell you'll ever see them again, realistically speaking. The actual odds are so small you'd need an electron microscope to see them. I've only done it once, and I don't talk to him anymore because he wiggered out and became a complete asshole. His grandma, who has the patience of a saint, kicked him out. That's a completely different rabbit hole I'll get to another time.
The notable ones are as follows:
Jerel: Black country kid raised by white adoptive parents (mom's a nurse, dad's the Elkhart Lake Police Chief) so he turned out fine. We had a similar sense of humor. He told me he could see Road America from his house, which is kinda cool.
Johnathan: Half Mexican but you'd never tell by looking at him. He had to have been like 5'3". Again, we had a similar sense of humor. Lactose intolerant. Blasted NBA Youngboy off a cheap Walmart speaker until they decided we weren't allowed to have speakers with our mp3 players anymore.
Hanna: Adorable. Quite shy. Jerel got put on a gag order with her because he was flirting and got caught (to put it simply it's an informal no contact order where you can't talk to/mention/look at the other person). Not gonna lie, I tried to flirt too. It went nowhere, but at least I didn't get reprimanded for it. She looked like the short chick from Wreck-It Ralph. Johnathan and I made comments about her breast size on his last day there and we almost got in trouble for it. (They were quite large for a girl of her stature, for the record.)
Cyan: Redhead. Came in two weeks before I left. Named after a Final Fantasy character. Kinda alt-ish. Good at drawing. Teehee quirky type humor. I think she was actually coming on to me, which was refreshing, but neither of us could make a move due to the bullshit mentioned earlier. During my goodbye group (everyone has those shortly before they discharge), she flattered the fuck outta me. What could have been...
Alex: It took me a while to get used to him. He's the only other client I could shoot the shit with about tech stuff. His dad does cybersec for state govt. He liked telling me about his New Vegas escapades. Always wore a hoodie regardless of weather.
If I think of more I'll add them
