naturally, the government has complicated this by adding a physical fitness requirement to maintaining a CDL. how well it's actually followed, i couldnt tell ya.Which would be the perfect job for most of the EDiots here since they do that anyway.
Can't imagine how that's enforced. Word would get around on which doctor would let you slide.naturally, the government has complicated this by adding a physical fitness requirement to maintaining a CDL. how well it's actually followed, i couldnt tell ya.
dont quote me on this since i dont really know. i'm guessing it's done through the DMV (or state equivalent) during a DL renewal and they test if you can perform some basic tests. one story i heard the guy had to prove he could touch his toes. Can't imagine how that's enforced. When I was in the Army, about 30% of my unit couldn't pass a PT test. Would fail outright, but magically, when they retested two days later they passed with 90% scores. It's a joke. I imagine this happens less in combat MOS. Although medics have the most to carry on duty. All your gear and a 30 lbs aid bag. Plus, IV bags. I imagine this happens far less in infantry and Teir One units, but guys do get kicked out of those units for being out of shape.
yeah its meaningless. A couple of CDL's i know have difficulty tying their shoes.dont quote me on this since i dont really know. i'm guessing it's done through the DMV (or state equivalent) during a DL renewal and they test if you can perform some basic tests. one story i heard the guy had to prove he could touch his toes.
