The thing is CS is too even a game, this isn't like fortnite where one player is so good at the game he just stomps the competition and will always win. I would never ever bet on a game on the modern shit maps anyways, I would rather lose my left nut than play anubis again.

It's better to just run and dart around blasting everyone in the face with a shotgun, easy if you have scuffed reflexes and aim.
It sometimes works really well because nobody expects that.

On poverty rounds you can go far with a Nova and a dream but its kinda situational and map specific, but you are right about nobody seeing it coming because shotgun plays aren't exactly meta.
