The other thread was kind of too optimistic and focused too much on what people had control over. This is a thread for things you'd like to see changed about whatever that don't result from a change in your attitude or productivity or whatever else, not even necessarily something that directly effects you. I shouldn't have made either of these threads, but my hubris demands it

Abolition of the Public Order Act 1985 finally. That seems like a particularly bad one due to some charitable interpretations of what a carriage service is
The Minister for Police and Crime moves to reallocate resources expended monitoring political extremism and harmful opinions to preventation of child sex abuse instead, or some other decent priority that isn't a gross mismanagement. Too many stories came out this year, even of an internal Metropolitan Police cover-up of sexual exploitation. Very alleged, I suppose

Friend can get out of Russia or live wherever. They can find a sufficiently trustworthy bank to open an account with and can start saving money. I can send them a dividend of sorts
My mum can retire on the current pension at some point and focus on their passion for gardening or just enjoy the abundant free time or whatever else
