To a certain degree. If you are responsible for their training, then yes you will be probably not a trainer anymore. (demoted - that's called consequences of responsibility. its why the US military and Im sure many militaries stress training and doing it 'exactly" as instructed.

It's different on ships and especially military ships. Yes she is responsible for her 1st Mate, running aground. The Captain approves all charts, plotted courses and designs training and emergency exercises. So yes she should be demoted and bounced out in disgrace. She won't because woman and lesbian. That would be sexist and homophobic.

The fact that she approved a course that ran too close to the shoals seems to be completely lost on you. These shoals have been charted for literally hundreds of years.

Not to mention the complete failure in saving the ship, and the debacle of abandoning ship and the casualties the crew suffered during and after abandonment.

Generally speaking, it's seen as incompetence, if you capsize your own ship no matter if you are a private vessel or a member of a navy.

LOL no. There is actual authority and responsibility placed in military rank. It's why the higher you go the more of an asshole they are.
If you are company commander of a tank platoon, and one of your crews thought it would be funny to take a tank out and conduct "Operation Killdozer ver 2.0: new and improved now with 100% more tank," then yeah you're likely going to lose your command, face possible demotion and most likely your military career is over. You can stay in but expect to be a Captain for about twenty years.

That's the way the military is supposed to work. In reality, I agree it's a little different. The leader of the squad that did this, and all participants are kicked out/jailed, the platoon sgt is most likely officially reprimanded, his career is locked at rank for years. The Platoon Lt. is most likely demoted and removed. And the Captain is removed from command and reassigned. All of these things are off the record career killers.

If you have a website, and you say jews suck and a I FUCK KIDS gets the butthurtz and kills himself/herself depending on the laws of the host nation there could be repercussions. But this is objective law. Objective law means who ever has the highest paid lawyers win.
