It was a long time ago, but I probably first discovered ED around 2005 or 2006 after doing a Google search (also discovered Unencyclopedia and Urban Disctionary but both were shit). The first article I remember reading was the Gorgeous George article along with "Offended", which was disgusting. Didn't like the site at first since it seemed more like a shock site, but like a train wreck it looked so bad you just couldn't look away. Another article I read in detail was the Obama article right at the height of the 2008 election with McCain and Palin. I came back every once in a while to check the front page and found out about Zoe Quinn and Gamergate drama in 2014. Also discovered the forum during that year, but wasn't very interested in joining. Didn't join the forums until 2018 after there was a link on the front page of the wiki saying that Zaiger had nuked the forums because of some bullshit drama.

it was way back in the chris chan days. yeah, I'm that fucking old. Also because someone mentioned you guys way back when in mcleodgaming forums. this has to be back in 07 or 08, during the first regenerations of ED. I've had at least 2 nicks and will post them here if wanted, most people here won't probably remember me unless you talked to me actively during those days.
yeah i remember when i was on roblox knockoff forums back in probably 2020 or 2021, back in my 'troll' days before i knew what that was. (i'm not proud of the forum part) some dude linked an ED article on some furfag, something like Willy with some numbers. i know the profile picture, it was mostly purple and was some digital art piece. this was around 2021-22 i think. explains my very newfag behavior at the time.
of course my edgy little personality loved the wiki but i wasn't funny outside of pissing people off. i joined the forums on the same day and went from there, i was never one to lurk. very quickly found out that this was not a forum full of tweens to upset and learned a few things. I did upset tinfoilhatguy, which is something.

Found it when stumbled onto Lurkmore somewhere between 2010 and 2012 and found a link to ED, then over the years I randomly was reading articles, made unfunny contributions and even created few accounts during various iterations of EDF to make shitposts

Aside from the fact that he made up a year because those articles didnt exist yet, do you think the type of person who only accidentally discovers naked women on myspace is going to be in the type of communities to mention ED at a time when nobody had heard of it and it looked like a completely different site
