This is kinda pre-psychedelic, but I saw an exhibit of Manet
that included a pair of his glasses at the time(he was really old when he painted them) with one lens cracked and fucked up, and the other looking like it had been sandblasted... You had to be the right distance from the painting or it would look like the work of a retarded kindergartener, but at the right spot it just snapped into focus and was brilliant and beautiful... always thought it trippy how a nearly blind old man could create something so ... so.........
