This is not a 1st Amendment issue though. It is a criminal procedure violation.
It wasn't about just saying the gubbermint sucks, it was literature which portrayed her intent and gave a frame of reference to her mindset. You combine this with her documented actions and that's the issue. As usual, as a woman, you over compartmentalize.
Saying the government sucks and is being oppressive is ok. However, if your literature is "extreme," suggesting revolution, and you get arrested for attacking a federal institution, in an effort to thwart legal government operations, then your defense of the 1st Amendment goes out the window.
She had every right to say what ICE is doing is wrong.
She no right to shoot fireworks at ICE officers to cause a distraction which may have been a precursor to murder of federal agents and possibly "free illegals." Which may have been the ultimate intent. You combine these two, and one gets at the real underlying purpose of such literature -- in reference to her motivations.
Those "zines," were to illustrate her motive. Important to any criminal investigation or trial.
