Consider using a real VPN. Mullvad is the industry standard but Proton provides a no-log free VPN that's pretty trustworthy.
Additionally, you should be randomizing your browser fingerprint since there's extensions that allow Xenforo admins to easily peek at that. I use the Chameleon extension for Firefox when trolling but there are other options as well
