@umkemesik i saw how you sperged out about doxxing on kiwi farms do something

I said it was illegal under some circumstances (i.e. posting an SSN). Which it is. Posting people's names isn't shit.

But some faggot wanted to pick a fight, for no fucking reason. Told me it's "his pleasure to waffle stomp people like me". And he "was going to give me a chance", etc.

His friend who is a lawyer ended up agreeing with me. Literally was arguing about nothing.

1. 18 USC 1028(7) makes it a crime to use or possess an SSN in relation to a federal felony or any violation of state or local law.

2. Each state has their own rules. In Illinois you have 5 ILCS 179/10(a)(1) :

(a) Beginning July 1, 2010, no person or State or local government agency may do any of the following:
(1) Publicly post or publicly display in any manner
an individual's social security number.

Whether a State, or the Federal Government gave a shit is another question. This depends if the prosecutor has a hard-on for you, which unfortunately is why I have a conviction for violating 18 USC 1028. They are also usually busy dealing with "real crimes" than an internet slap fight.

"in relation to a felony"

"or any violation of state or local law. " The local law could be an ordinance.

At anyrate, it's certainly illegal in Illinois just to display a SSN, and I would wager most of the 50 states.

Indiana Code (IC) 4-1-10, makes it a crime to disclose a person's Social Security Number (SSN) except under certain circumstances spelled out in the law.

Michigan
Section 445.83

Makes it a crime to display anymore than 4 digits of a SSN.

Etc, etc, etc.

A semi intelligent prosecutor could charge both, one state charge for making public a SSN, and the federal charge.
