$1 TRILLION budget deficits year after year. $40 TRILLION national debt. But let’s just keep spending on every pet project that some congressman or senator wants because they have to show their constituents that they’re “bringing home the bacon.”

Sorry, to clarify, I wasn't saying it like you didn't know, I was just agreeing that Elon's attempts to "fix things" instead make it worse. He spends more time trying to convince his mushbrain fans that he's actually doing something useful than, y'know, doing something useful.

None of them can actually explain in detail what he's actually done, they just keep saying he did, with all the detail and depth of a "Dick and Jane" book.

the "well duh" was merely at the whole "stating the obvious" thing. basic common sense states you don't cut useful programs to pat yourself on the back over it on the news only to realize you fucked up n then re-instate the program 2 months later

it's the same reasoning behind why your doctor tells you to finish all your antibiotic doses even if you're feeling well the last few days
