Umkemesik's Cyberpunk Review

I beat the game, and had this cool space screenshot but I overridden the screenshot like an idiot.

Anyway, I understand that PS4's / XBOX version is borderline unplayable.

I have a 3080, so I can only give you my take on that. Obviously I did not have as many bugs. Must bugs cleared up after a save reload.

PROS:

There's a ton of detail in this game. It feels like a real City.

Ton of dialogue and cinematics. Like the Witcher is has detective work.

Cyber implants are cool (gorilla arms, projectile, wire, mantis arms)

Combat and driving is ok (some issues I will explain below). You can hack things, think of Deus Ex Machina.

Story. Jesus fucking Christ is this deep. There's like 5 main endings. Replay ability is high, you have 3 starter paths.

I checked the other's endings after I beat the game and I actually had one of the good endings.

Like the Witcher, it has plenty of side quests that will eat up your time.

CONs:

The weapons really don't matter. you'll just be picking the one with the highest damage. No other real specialty is there.

Driving sucks if you are driving fast. you'll pass turns, CD project should fix this as it is annoying.

The life paths are cool, but ultimately it's only the first 20-40 minutes that are different plus some dialogue options.

AI sucks.

Hacking doesn't matter. The time it takes you to send a virus you could have killed the dude.

Perk / craft system is ok, like Witcher on the inside. But the game does not explain shit to you.

Without the side quest, the game is 20 hrs (beat it in 22 hrs). I did one large side quest, which ironically was the one I needed for a good ending.

Glitches. Ok, as I said this did not effect me as much, just console presents. But I did have some common glitches;

1. Wearing a hat can make you bald.

2. Had a scene where my character was stuck in drive mode when I exited the vehicle. Which meant the camera was froze in third person as my character walked around with no head. A save reload cleared this.

3. Early in the game the quest would not advance, a save reload fixed this.

4. Somehow I stumbled into a another quest were I had to guard a guy. I left the area and continued on the main quest, was told the job failed and it was marked "complete". Except this dude kept following me. I couldn't kill him, and when I loose him he would randomly open my car door and get in even if I was 3+ task over. A save reload did not fix this but I advance the story and eventually he stopped following me.

Ignoring the glitches and bugs this is a 9/10 game.

compared to the Witcher most side quests given you by the fixers suck balls, most of them have little to none dialogue and if they have dialogue its some retarded pop culture reference, like AI dubbed by GLADoS's voice actress trying to kill you or some dude paraphrasing monologue from The Office. at this point i'm really surprised noone said bazinga yet

There was another huge patch (about 20 gbs on top of the initial day 1 patch that's about the same size) that has made the ps4 version at least somewhat playable now.

I got about an hour of play in before this patch was added and it was the buggiest shit I've ever played on a console. You'd get random item description pop ups that you couldn't dismiss, settings would default randomly, couldn't end phone calls, ect.

Since that patch I've gotten some quality time in. Should be a fantastic game once all the issues are fixed.

I don´t give a shit about the game but my business partner is pissed coz his CDPR shares are underwater now.

They'll bounce back. It's been going down since December 4th (high $31 now at $21, up from $18).

He got in at around 80 EUR...you´re probably right tho, he should just btfd.

eta: I like pineapple on pizza

I tried anchovies for the first time this year. Now, I'm a big fish eater, including Sardines. But anchovies on pizza are fucking gross.
