The only ones that care about the stock market are 401K boomers. Which is another reason why boomers are all screaming for war with Iran: too old to fight it, and their 401K's could use a MIC stock boost when they are so close to retirement.

Meanwhile, the majority of the rest of the population struggles to afford food, rent, and bills.

There has never been a larger disconnect between generations.

Reimpose the full tariffs. Not doing so makes Trump look weak, caters to the top 10% which own 80% of the traded public stock, and is most importantly gay as shit.

Migrant workers are a thing and will be. They have limited status. So this is really not surprising. However, Pepe picking onions is not human trafficing, selling drugs, or running gangs.

But, it would be good if automation eliminated the need for them as well. Perhaps a 1% interest loan on automation/equipment for agriculture.

the tech is already there and the belief that hey-zeus is out there, barefoot and wearing little more than burlap, is a fake image propogated by big business so they can get the best of both worlds (mostly automated farms with a few illegals being paid in peanuts to sit in a tractor as it drives itself). the service sector is a different story, it's not going to be easy making those robo-waifus in maid outfits and "exotic" accents.
